Performance Rights - Schapiro - Cloned

There is a PawPrint station in the ground floor lobby of the building for your use.     

There can be no ticket sales or donations requested. No concessions/souvenirs sold. 

No food or drink in the spaces except water. 

The lockers, located on the Lower Level, are assigned by the Program. They are not for production use. Do not store open food containers or packages in lockers. 

Lobby furniture may not be removed from the lobby. 

No rehearsal in the lobby. It has public access to Offices, Classrooms, the Music Practice Rooms and the Restrooms. 

The main seating structure in The Theatre cannot be moved. 

42” of unobstructed egress must be available at all times during the course of the production to both Emergency Exits. 

Nothing can be attached to the floor or walls without permission from the PM. 

Use only proper spike tape on floors. You can get spike tape from the Stage Manager’s office, Schapiro Student Staff or PM. 

Absolutely no live flame – including smoking, incense, a flick of a lighter, or e-cigarettes; the fire alarm will activate causing an evacuation of the entire building and arrival of the Fire Department. This is also a NYC law. 

The only prop guns allowed in Schapiro Presentations are wooden, unpainted, cut outs. A Prop Weapons Form will need to be submitted for approval.  After approval, make arrangements with the PM for pick up of weapons.

Exit signs cannot be covered nor can their associated doorways be blocked. 

No painting, chalk or markers can be used on any part of the space’s permanent structure, i.e. the floor, the walls of the Theatre/Studio, the doors of the Theatre/Studio, etc. 

No student help (SMs/Student Coordinator) will be available after 11p. 

You can reserve music stands, cameras, tripods, projectors, clip lights, projector mounts, and various cables through the PM for your production, if needed. 

Designers/technicians cannot work in the space without a Columbia student/staff/faculty present. 

All Schapiro spaces will be locked at 11p promptly each night. Rehearsals will end at 10:45p to allow for cleaning up, gathering your belongings and exiting the space.

Maximum capacity for The Theatre (including cast, crew, audience) is 102. Maximum House is 74.

Maximum capacity for The Studio (including cast, crew, audience) is 75.

Failure to abide by these policies may result in loss of scheduled use.
