ANNOUNCEMENTS

We are experimenting with using a tool I built for graduates for the incoming class. To make sure we start our time pronouncing your name correctly, it would be great if you could fill out this survey by Aug. 21st. It takes less than 10 minutes. I put a premium on saying people’s name correctly; I’d appreciate it if you could help me.

Applications for these positions are now open.

  • The online portal can be accessed here.
  • The instructions are here (don’t mind the website layout, the links are the same).

If you have any issues or questions concerning the application system or login access please contact [email protected] (read: not Lauren).

Also, there are SoA service positions open to all students currently listed in the application system. This includes Dean's Office service positions, Film, and Theatre program service positions.

Your registration dates for the fall are Tues Aug. 29 - Thurs Aug. 31. You won’t really know what you’re doing on that first day, but luckily you’ll learn and your required classes all have a space waiting for you. You can refer to the Course Schedule + Electives list at the button above.

Faculty are often asked for a list of recommended readings. This is not “summer reading,” per se. They take for granted you have a working knowledge of theatre history and significant classical and contemporary dramatic literature. These are recommended titles separated by concentration; however, we believe literacy in the field cuts across all of the disciplines, and we encourage students to read from multiple lists, with a special focus on plays and playwrights.
