Duties include: 

● Approving, overseeing and coordinating all aspects of physical production and the production process, including scenic elements, property and costume transport, light/video/projection hang and focus  

● Creating the production calendar, approving rehearsal schedules, scheduling & running all meetings 

● Coordinating space reservations at Schapiro with Manager of Academic Administration and Student Theatre Office Manager 

● Overseeing all marketing and front of house operations 

● Coordinating and tracking all purchases 

 
Dana Sokolov: Schapiro Assistant Production Manager

  Duties include: 

● Assisting the Schapiro Production Manager with all Production needs

● Planning and supervising Sunday strikes and the building of approved scenery

● Acquiring performance rights for necessary productions

● Processing of reimbursements and artist payments 

● Arranges MFTA visits 

 
Jacqueline A. Holloway: Faculty Intimacy and Fight Director

  Duties include: 

● Advise all Schapiro Projects on Intimacy and Fight Choreography when needed

● If needed, she will require a script and a meeting with Director and Stage Management

● If necessary, will schedule in-person or virtual rehearsal time

 
Jacob Robinson: A/V Supervisor

Duties include: 

● Planning and executing sound and video requests

● Managing sound and video hang and focus

● Overseeing and Troubleshooting Audio and Video Systems

● Working with Sound and Video/Projection Designers, A1s, and any additional creative team members to understand and best utilize the setup of the A/V systems including, but not limited to: QLab templates, audio routing, video routing, and projection mapping

Britta Kuhn: Nash Operations and Production Resources Manager

Duties Include:

● Assisting scenic, prop and costume designers with accessing Columbia’s furniture and hand props databases.

● Setting up appointments for designers and students to check out props, furniture, etc.

Duties include: 

General Schapiro Crew

  • Assisting the Schapiro Production Management with all Production needs
  • Aiding in all elements of Physical Production under purview of Schapiro PM team
  • Student Staff will be scheduled by Schapiro PM for tasks deemed necessary for production load in, tech, performances, and changeovers.

Tech and Performance Assistant

  • Serves as Technical Supervisor on call
  • Responsible for the space
  • Maintaining the guidelines and safety in the space
  • Supporting the team to answer questions and provide guidance on best practices

Front of House & Box Office

  • Open the space two hours before curtain
  • Assists the Stage Manager 1 hour before curtain
  • Open the Box Office 30 minutes before curtain and will assist the Producer
  • Using the Schapiro Box Office email ([email protected]) for ticketing forms and attendance lists, assist with managing the list as audience arrives
  • Assist audience members who need to use the elevator to gain access to Lower Level

Post Performance Strike

  • Assist the company with strike after the final performance, Saturday night
  • Ensure all company memebers help with strike.
  • Use Schapiro Strike Checklist to check everything has been accomplished
  • *Note all personal items must be removed from the building after the final performance unless prior arrangements are made with Production Management.
  • Will release company once strike is complete.
